Reasons to Celebrate Love with Jord Watches

This post is sponsored by Jord Watches; all opinions are my own.

Celebrate Love

If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen our whirlwind trip to the Midwest we embarked on a couple weeks back. It was a 10-hour drive to and from, so it gave my husband and I a lot of time to talk (while entertaining our toddler). We naturally got on the subject of our marriage and how we could protect, grow, and celebrate it. Something that stood out to me was that sometimes Valentine’s Day or even anniversaries can seem cliché, but why? If we can’t celebrate the love we have for each other, then what is there to celebrate in life? We decided that our love is important and that we should take every opportunity we can to celebrate the best parts of it.

Milestone Gifting

Adam (my husband) and I are not super “gifty” people, although who doesn’t love receiving them? But, when Jord Watches reached out with their Valentine’s campaign, I thought this would be such a special gift for my husband. Everything about this watch just feels special: from the packaging, to the design, to the actual look and feel of it. Adam genuinely loves this watch because it’s functional and luxurious (not to mention so masculine and sexy).

With all that being said, you don’t have to spend a fortune on a gift for each milestone of your relationship but do give the gift of yourself: your time, presence, thoughts, and feelings. Celebrate one another, eat good food, cuddle, hold hands, and take pictures with each other like you used to- keep your love alive by just celebrating.

And maybe once in a while, spoil your spouse a little bit to keep them on their toes ( ;

    Valentine’s day has never been special to us because our birthdays are the 11th of Feb. for Clyde and the 12th for me. (see how he can never forget mine). So we do a multiple celebration during that time. Not sure how we will celebrate this yeardue to Clyde’s health problem. Just being able to be together is really enough. He’s been my love
    for so long, and we are not giving up.

    Very good suggestions and article. Marriage is not something to be lazy about and taking a spouse for granted causes issues. Love is worth the work.

      It’s so easy to go through the motions of life and forget the love that led to it all. I agree; thank you so much!
